Coffee Break 11_27_2025

It’s a sunny day here in Florida. I stand in the backyard with my cup of decaf in hand just long enough to appreciate the ducks in the pond, and resent how quickly I begin to sweat. I suppose I’ll enjoy the rest of my coffee indoors.

The days are quickly counting down to my IET, little more than a week remains to me. I am eager to begin. By all accounts BCT will be boring, but I’ve already spent 6 months waiting in the Recruit Sustainment Program. Doing something, anything, will be a welcome change of pace.

There is a laundry list of chores that I am slowly knocking out in advance. What to do with my subscriptions, what to do with my car, what to do with my bills, etc.

I’ll take my Sec+ exam next week. I’m passing my practice tests by the skin of my teeth. I’d love to have a more confident margin, but it is what it is.
